Mackenzie Vollmer of Fairview Heights IL was recently presented the 2015 Sam Weintraub Memorial Scholarship by the St. Louis chapter of BOMA (Building and Owners Management Association). Sam Weintraub served as BOMA’s executive director from 1966 to 1987. During that time, his enthusiastic, colorful leadership helped BOMA grow into a highly visible, professional trade association of more than 400 local members. The vitality of BOMA today is a tribute to Sam’s vision and dedication. The $3000 scholarship was started in 1989 to honor Sam for all of his outstanding service to the organization.
Mackenzie is a sophomore at Murray State in Kentucky studying Elementary Education. In the Fall of 2015, she will be studying in Regensberg Germany with 24 of her fellow students from Murray. Her parents are Laurie and Frank Vollmer. The award was presented to her by BOMA Past President Rob Bowman of Terra Properties.
