Jim Taylor Inc. (Taylor Roofing) has been a recognized installer of roofing materials since 1905, and our quality work has been highly recognized. Firestone Building Products has awarded Taylor Roofing their Master Contractor Award nine times since the program began in 1988, most recently for 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021. In order to receive this award, the contractor must complete the installation of at least a million square feet of Firestone warranted roof systems. In addition, we are eight-time recipients of the Inner Circle of Quality Award which is given for continued quality and excellent inspection ratings on warranted Firestone roof installations.

Congratulations to Catherine Taylor Yank, President of Jim Taylor, Inc., and the entire Taylor crew for receiving Carlisle SynTec Systems ESP Award! The ESP award was established in 1998 as a means to recognize Carlisle’s most loyal and dedicated authorized applicators, the Excellence in Single-Ply award (ESP) award has become one of the most recognizable and prestigious achievements in the commercial roofing industry. Awarded annually, only the most accomplished applicators achieve ESP status, a designation that provides customers with confidence that they have partnered with the very best in the industry. Other Carlisle SynTec System awards Taylor Roofing has received include Hall of Fame 500 and Perfection award.

Recognition for the active promotion of on-the-job safety has resulted in Jim Taylor Inc. (Taylor Roofing) winning the Southern Illinois Builder’s Association Safety Award. Under the direction of our owner, Catherine Taylor Yank, we were recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as the 15th largest Woman Owned Business in the metropolitan area.

In 2016, we were also recognized as a GAF Certified Contractor. Founded in 1886, GAF has become North America’s largest manufacturer of commercial and residential roofing,

Founding Member of MWiR

National Women in Roofing (NWiR) is a volunteer-based organization that supports and advances the careers of women roofing professionals, from manufacturing to design to installation, investigation to repair to management, and every step in between. NWiR provides networking, mentoring, education and industry recruitment opportunities from the rooftop to the boardroom, for the young professional at the start of her career to the seasoned manager in the executive suite. Through a commitment to connect and empower women in roofing, NWiR members contribute to the overall betterment and professionalism of the roofing industry.
